Quando ami i tuoi animali, è facile dimenticare una cosa semplice: anche chi si prende cura ha bisogno di ricaricarsi. Prendersi una pausa non significa voler meno bene al proprio cane o gatto, significa solo evitare di arrivare stanchi, nervosi o “in automatico”. E alla fine ne beneficiano tutti.
Un modo pratico è creare una mini-routine di “pausa” durante la giornata: 30–60 minuti in cui l’animale è al sicuro e occupato (kong, tappetino olfattivo, snack puzzle, o un gioco che usa solo sotto supervisione). Nel frattempo tu fai qualcosa che ti stacca davvero: una doccia lunga, un tè caldo, musica, un episodio di una serie, o anche solo stare in silenzio.
Se la stanchezza è tanta, chiedere aiuto è normale: un dog sitter per un’oretta, un amico che porta fuori il cane, oppure un asilo diurno una volta a settimana. Per i gatti, spesso basta “separare” un po’ gli spazi: una stanza tranquilla per te e una zona arricchita per loro (tiragraffi, mensole, giochi). L’importante è che la pausa sia programmata, non solo “quando scoppio”.
Io, ad esempio, quando ho bisogno di staccare la testa per 15 minuti e rilassarmi, mi prendo un momento tutto mio con Rocketplay app, così torno poi dai miei animali più tranquillo e paziente.
