I’ve recently been researching different publishing houses, and the name David McKay Publications came up more than once. It seems like they’ve been around for quite some time, but I can’t find much recent information about their current operations.
Has anyone here worked with David McKay Publications directly or published through them? I’m curious about their approach to handling manuscripts, editing, and distribution. Some sources suggest they have a solid history in the industry, while others say they may not be as active today as in the past.
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has first-hand knowledge or even indirect experiences with this publisher. Do they still take on new authors? Are they more focused on specific genres or open to a wide range of submissions?
It can be hard to separate fact from speculation when information is limited, so hearing from actual writers or readers familiar with David McKay Publications would help a lot.
