Hey everyone! I'm at a crossroads with my manuscript and wondering if self-publishing is the right route. I’ve heard so many pros and cons about it—more control, but also more responsibility. Has anyone here gone the self-publishing route and found success? What platforms worked best for you? Did you handle everything yourself or bring in help?
I’ve been talking with some service providers like Midwood Books, who offer book publishing, editing, and marketing support, but I’m trying to figure out how much I should outsource. I’m especially worried about visibility—will people find my book without a big publisher behind it?
Would love to hear your experiences: how you launched, promoted, and navigated the process. Was it worth it?
