Fildena can cause vision changes because it contains Sildenafil, which is a PDE5 inhibitor. While its main action is to increase blood flow to the penis by relaxing blood vessels, Sildenafil can also affect similar enzymes in the eyes, particularly phosphodiesterase type 6 (PDE6). PDE6 is involved in retinal phototransduction, the process by which your retina converts light into visual signals. When Sildenafil partially inhibits PDE6: Blue-tinted vision or increased sensitivity to light can occur. Blurred vision or difficulty distinguishing colors may happen temporarily. Rarely, it may lead to more serious eye issues like FILDENA (non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy) in those with pre-existing eye problems. These effects are usually mild and temporary, often resolving within a few hours, but they are more likely at higher doses or in people with pre-existing eye conditions. It’s important to stop taking the medication and see a doctor immediately if you experience sudden vision loss, severe blurring, or other significant visual changes.
