Zudena 100 mg contains Udenafil, a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). It belongs to the class of phosphodiesterase type-5 (PDE5) inhibitors, which improve blood flow to help achieve and maintain an erection. While Zudena is generally well tolerated, it may cause temporary visual side effects in some users.
The most commonly reported vision-related effects include blurred vision, increased sensitivity to light, and changes in color perception, such as seeing a blue or green tint. These effects occur because PDE5 inhibitors can mildly affect PDE6 enzymes in the retina, which play a role in visual processing. Such changes are usually mild, short-lived, and reversible, resolving as the medication wears off.
Rare but serious vision problems have been reported with ZUDENA 100 MG medications, including non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), which can cause sudden vision loss. Although this is extremely uncommon, the risk may be higher in individuals with conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or existing eye disease.
Anyone experiencing sudden vision changes, eye pain, or vision loss after taking Zudena 100 mg should seek immediate medical attention. To reduce risks, the medication should only be used under medical supervision, especially in individuals with known eye or cardiovascular conditions.
