Here’s a breakdown of how it works: Inhibition of PDE5 (Phosphodiesterase Type 5): Sildenafil, the active ingredient in Fildena 25 mg , specifically inhibits the enzyme PDE5 (phosphodiesterase type 5). PDE5 is found in several tissues in the body, including the penis. PDE5 normally breaks down cGMP (cyclic guanosine monophosphate), a molecule that plays a crucial role in relaxing the smooth muscles in the blood vessels of the penis. When PDE5 is active, it reduces the levels of cGMP, leading to constriction of blood vessels and reduced blood flow. Increase in cGMP Levels: By inhibiting PDE5, sildenafil allows cGMP levels to remain elevated. This helps the smooth muscles in the blood vessels to relax and dilate (expand), leading to increased blood flow to the penis.
