Hi everyone,

I recently started grooming my friend's rescue dog, and I'm having some trouble keeping him calm during the process. He's a medium-sized mixed breed and gets very anxious, especially around clippers and nail trimming. He starts shaking and tries to pull away, even with treats and a calm approach.

I've tried desensitizing him by letting him sniff and hear the tools before starting, but he still panics once I begin. Does anyone have experience with particularly nervous dogs? Any tips on making grooming a more positive experience for him?

I’d really appreciate any advice! Thanks in advance.
