Filitra 20 (which contains Vardenafil, a PDE5 inhibitor) should not be taken with nitrates. This combination can cause a severe drop in blood pressure, leading to potentially dangerous health consequences such as dizziness, fainting, or even heart attack or stroke. Why is this combination dangerous? Nitrates are often prescribed for conditions like angina (chest pain) or other heart-related issues. They work by relaxing blood vessels, which can lead to a decrease in blood pressure. Vardenafil (Filitra 20) also lowers blood pressure by improving blood flow to the penis. When taken together with nitrates, Filitra 20 combined effect can cause extremely low blood pressure, which can be harmful. Precautions: Avoid taking Filitra 20 if you're currently using any form of nitrate medication, such as: Nitroglycerin (used for chest pain) Isosorbide dinitrate or isosorbide mononitrate Some recreational drugs known as "poppers" (often used for enhancing sexual experience) Always inform your doctor if you're using nitrate medications or have any heart-related conditions before using Filitra 20. If you are unsure whether you can take Filitra 20 with your current medications, it is essential to consult your healthcare provider for personalized advice and safety recommendations.
