Multiple myeloma is a type of cancer that affects plasma cells, a specific type of white blood cell. In its early stages, multiple myeloma may not exhibit any noticeable symptoms, making it challenging to diagnose. However, as the disease progresses, several signs and symptoms may emerge. what is the first sign of multiple myeloma can vary from person to person, but common early indications include:

Bone Pain: Bone pain, often in the lower back, ribs, hips, or skull, is a common initial symptom. Multiple myeloma can weaken bones, making them more susceptible to fractures.

Fatigue: Generalised fatigue and weakness can be one of the early signs. Anemia, which is a reduction in red blood cells, is common in multiple myeloma and can lead to fatigue.

Recurrent Infections: Multiple myeloma can weaken the immune system, increasing susceptibility to infections. Frequent infections or slow wound healing can be early indicators.

Unexplained Weight Loss: Unintended weight loss without changes in diet or activity can be a warning sign.

Kidney Problems: Multiple myeloma can affect the kidneys, leading to symptoms like increased thirst, frequent urination, or kidney pain.
