Fildena 120 is a brand name for sildenafil citrate, which is a medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. Erectile dysfunction is a condition where men have difficulty getting or maintaining an erection sufficient for sexual intercourse.
Fildena120, like other medications used to treat ED, belongs to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. It works by increasing blood flow to the penis, which helps to achieve and maintain an erection.
When a man is sexually stimulated, the body releases nitric oxide, which stimulates the production of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). cGMP relaxes the smooth muscles in the penis, allowing more blood to flow into the penis, resulting in an erection. PDE5 inhibitors such as Fildena work by blocking the action of an enzyme called PDE5, which breaks down cGMP. This helps to maintain higher levels of cGMP, allowing the smooth muscles in the penis to relax and promoting increased blood flow.
