Talakadu is a small town located in the Mysore district of Karnataka. At a glance, it might unsolved mysteries look like just another average town. But if we take a deeper look, we find that it is at the center of a 400-year old mystery.
This town is completely filled with sand. There is so much sand that it almost seems like a desert. What's more, there are even sand dunes all around the place. This typically doesn't happen within city limits. However, this is not even the intriguing part of the story.
What boggles the mind is that all this sand shouldn't exist in the first place. That's because Talakadu is located at the left bank of river Kaveri. Such close proximity to a major river means that the soil should be highly fertile giving rise to lush greenery everywhere. But things are just the opposite. Even after many archeological studies by the state government, nobody could determine how the sand appeared out of nowhere. Locals believe that a 400-year old curse is the reason behind this baffling mystery.
With hundreds of small mysterious things in india buildings, Kuldhara was a moderate-sized village. It is believed that the inhabitants residing in it were very prosperous. But then, around 200 years ago, the people of Kuldhara disappeared overnight. According to legends, there used to be an evil prime minister of the state called Salim Singh, whose eyes fell on the daughter of the village head. And he wanted to marry her by force.
