SpamRescue: Stop Losing Wholesale Orders and Supplier Quotes to Your Spam Folder
Wholesale and retail businesses run on email. Purchase orders, price quotes, invoices, shipping updates and reorder requests all arrive in the inbox. When a spam filter sends one of those messages to the wrong folder, the cost can be a delayed shipment, a missed deadline or a lost customer.
SpamRescue is built to fix this. It finds legitimate emails caught in your spam folder and helps you move them back to your inbox. This article covers how it works, what it reads, which mailboxes it supports and what each plan includes.
Who is behind SpamRescue
SpamRescue is a service from CompanionLink Software, a software company known for productivity and sync tools, including DejaOffice. It brings that business software experience to a different everyday problem: good email getting lost in spam.
Why trade emails land in spam
Spam filters are automated, and they make mistakes every day. Business email is especially exposed. Messages full of product lines, part numbers, industry terms, client names and place names can look suspicious to a filter. A quote from a new supplier or a reply from a buyer can sit in a folder most people rarely open.
The SpamRescue pricing page states the stakes plainly: one customer message lost to spam is a missed opportunity. For a buyer or supplier, that message might be an order.
Time is a second cost. Anyone who manages several mailboxes, such as sales, purchasing and support, has to open each one to check spam. The SpamRescue homepage describes opening 8 to 10 accounts by hand for this. SpamRescue replaces that routine with one review list across every connected mailbox.
What SpamRescue is
SpamRescue is a spam folder recovery tool in the email inbox management and productivity category.
- It is a service, not a mailbox. It has no inbox of its own. You connect a mailbox you already use.
- It does not block junk. It reviews what is already in spam and scores each message on how likely it is to be wanted.
- You stay in control. You decide what comes back to your inbox.
How scanning, scoring and review work
Scanning. SpamRescue looks back over the last 21 days of your spam folder. On the Free plan, scans run manually on demand. Starter scans twice a day, and Professional scans four times a day.
Scoring. Each message is scored using sender signals, subject content, reply history, mailing list flags and authentication results (SPF, DKIM and DMARC). Every score comes with a breakdown showing which signals fired and by how much.
Two lists. Messages scoring 2 or higher go to a Likely Rescue list. Lower scoring messages go to a Review list. This keeps the obvious wins separate from the uncertain cases.
Actions. For each message you can rescue it, hide it or delete it. Rescue moves it from spam back to your inbox. Nothing moves until you decide, unless you turn on auto rescue.
One view. Messages from every connected mailbox appear in the same lists, so you review once instead of logging into each account.
The site says the first pass typically surfaces emails spanning weeks that were never seen.
Teaching it your business with keywords
Scoring improves once SpamRescue knows your trade. This is where wholesale and retail businesses get the most value.
- Ham keywords mark wanted email. Examples are supplier names, key customers, product lines, industry terms and city names. A match raises the score.
- Spam keywords lower the score of messages you do not need rescued, such as newsletters and promotions.
Keywords match against the subject line and sender name. Adding or changing a keyword rescores all current messages immediately. The site says most customers spend 10 to 15 minutes setting keywords up once. The Free plan allows up to 5 keyword rules, and Starter and Professional allow unlimited rules.
Auto rescue and the daily digest
Once you trust the results, turn on auto rescue in Settings and choose a score threshold from 2 to 5. Any message at or above it moves from spam to your inbox each night. The site says most customers start at a threshold of 3 after a week of manual review.
A daily or weekly digest email summarizes what was rescued, so automation never happens silently.
Helper accounts for teams
On the Professional plan, a helper such as an assistant or office manager can review and rescue emails without seeing mailbox credentials or account settings. According to the launch announcement, helpers work from sender and subject information only and cannot read any email.
Starter also adds email notifications and sender trust management.
Specifications and privacy
SpamRescue publishes its technical and privacy design openly.
- Connection: IMAP, with read access to your spam folder only.
- Encryption in transit: SSL/TLS on port 993.
- Passwords: AES-256 encrypted at rest.
- Data read: sender name, sender address, subject line and authentication headers.
- Data never read: the body of your emails, which is never accessed, stored or transmitted.
- AI: none. Scoring uses sender signals and keyword rules, and your data is never sent to third party models or external services.
- Changes to your mail setup: none. There are no routing changes, filter rewrites or mail interception.
- Sending: SpamRescue never sends email on your behalf.
- Gmail: requires an App Password instead of your regular password. The setup guide walks you through it.
For a business, this matters. Order details, pricing and contract terms inside your emails are never part of the process, because only the envelope information is read.
Supported mailboxes
SpamRescue works with Gmail, iCloud, AOL, Fastmail, Google Workspace, Zoho Mail, Microsoft 365, Outlook and any standard IMAP server. Personal Gmail and Outlook.com accounts work with app passwords.
Plans and pricing
There are three plans, priced as listed on spamrescue.com when this article was written.
Free costs $0 and needs no card. It covers 1 mailbox, with manual scans on demand, 7 days of message history and up to 5 keyword rules.
Starter costs $15 per month, billed $180 a year. It covers 3 mailboxes, with scans twice daily, 30 days of message history and unlimited keyword rules. It also includes email notifications and sender trust management.
Professional costs $39 per month, billed $468 a year. It covers 10 mailboxes, with scans 4 times daily, 90 days of message history and unlimited keyword rules. It also includes helper accounts and priority support.
If you need more than 10 mailboxes, the pricing page invites you to write to hello@spamrescue.com.
What SpamRescue is not
- Not an email provider. It has no inbox and connects to the mailbox you already use.
- Not a spam blocker. It does not change your provider's filters or mail routing.
- Not a general inbox cleaner. It focuses on recovery and scans only the last 21 day
