I wasn't entirely sure what to anticipate when I took a Southwest Airlines EWR Terminal flight from Newark Liberty International Airport, but everything went unexpectedly well and was enjoyable. Everything seemed well-organized and simple to follow as soon as I entered the airport. I went right to the bag drop place when I got there because I had already checked in online the night before. I felt at ease right away because the self-tagging kiosks were easy to operate and the staff was nice and helpful. After passing through security, I discovered lots of cozy places to sit close to the gate, as well as some decent food options and charging outlets, which were useful while I waited. I always appreciate Southwest’s boarding style, so I made sure to check in early to get a better position in line, and it worked—boarding went quickly, and I found a good window seat without a hassle. The crew onboard was friendly, cracking light jokes and making the cabin atmosphere feel relaxed and casual, which is something I’ve come to associate with flying Southwest. The flight itself was on time, and while the service is more no-frills compared to other airlines, I like that Southwest sticks to the basics and does them well—plus, those two free checked bags are a huge bonus. After landing, I followed the signs to baggage claim, and my luggage was out in minutes. Everything about the process was simple and efficient, and that’s something I really value when traveling, especially in and out of a busy area like Newark. If you’re looking for a dependable, no-nonsense flight experience that still offers solid customer service, flying Southwest Newark Liberty Airport is definitely worth considering.
