As I rolled my suitcase into Terminal A for my flight with Air Canada IAH Terminal, I can still clearly recall the early morning silence of George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). There was a faint buzz of activity, announcements resonating in the distance, travelers arriving, and that distinct sense of anticipation in the air as the sky began to lighten. Although I had previously flown out of IAH, this was my first time using Air Canada from this terminal, so I was interested to see how things would work out. I was struck by how orderly and serene everything felt as soon as I got close to the check-in area. Check-in felt more personal than transactional because the Air Canada counters were easily identifiable and the agents were kind and understanding. Security was efficient, and within minutes I was on the other side, walking through a terminal that felt surprisingly warm for such a large airport. The lighting was soft, the signage easy to follow, and the overall layout made sense—even for someone who hadn’t had their second coffee yet. Speaking of coffee, I found a cozy little café near the gate that served strong espresso and fresh pastries. That simple comfort helped me settle into the moment. I found a quiet corner with a view of the tarmac and just watched the planes taxi by as I sipped my drink. There’s something special about the beginning of a journey, and flying with Air Canada George Bush Intercontinental Airport out of IAH made that moment even better. From the friendliness of the staff to the ease of the terminal itself, it was an experience that made travel feel a bit less stressful and a lot more human.
