Gaumukh tapovan trek is a spiritual and blind-rich journey in Garhwal Himalayas in Uttarakhand, which takes in the source of the Holy Ganges River and the fantastic high-high grasslander in Tapovan. Based on the sacred city of Gangotry, the winds in the footpaths through the Gangotri National Park, the ice -witnessed peaks, the huge glaciers and the rich Himalayas views of flora and organisms. In Gaumukh (3 900 meters), hikers witness the origin of Ganges from the muzzle to the Gangotri glacier, while Tapovan (4 463 m) is outside - an open grassland under Royal Mount Shivling, with fantastic scenes of Bhagirathi Peaks. It is ideal for a medium experienced walkers and spiritual applicants for a challenging trek. The best time to travel is from May to June and September from October, when the weather is stable and the view is ready.
