Dodital trek is a quiet and beautiful journey through Garhwal Himalaya in Uttarakhand, who is perfect for nature lovers and beginners seeking a peaceful Himalaya experience. The tour leads to dodital, an old fresh water lake is at an altitude of 3,024 meters, surrounded by dense oak, pine and rhododendron forests. The birthplace of Lord Ganesha is believed to have both mythological and natural significance. The footpath begins in the village of Sangamactti near Uttarkashi and gradually passes through attractive Himalayan villages, clear streams and bird-rich forests, offering cultural encounters and mixtures of calm nature. For those seeking more experiences, the trail can be expanded to the Darva pass (4 150 m), which provides a captivating view of the monkey and Black Snake Range. The best time to travel is from March to June and September to November, when the weather is nice and the sky is ready. Dodital trek is ideal for a rejuvenation in the mountains.
