The Kedarkantha trek is one of the most popular winter treks in India, known for its stunning snow-covered trails, picturesque campsites, and a rewarding summit climb. Located in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, the trek reaches an altitude of 12,500 feet and offers panoramic views of Himalayan peaks like Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Black Peak, and Ranglana. Spanning 5–6 days, the trail starts from the charming village of Sankri and passes through dense pine forests, open meadows, and serene clearings blanketed in snow during the winter months. The final summit climb is the highlight—starting before dawn and reaching the top just in time for a breathtaking sunrise above the clouds. Ideal for beginners and experienced trekkers alike, Kedarkantha offers adventure with manageable difficulty.
