What to do if your roof is leaking?
To reduce the damage if your roof is leaking, you must act promptly. Find the source of the leak first. Look for mold, wet areas, or water stains in your attic as these are frequently indications of roof leaks. If it's safe to do so, check the roof for anything that might be letting water inside, such as broken or missing shingles, flashing, or clogged gutters.

After that, act quickly to stop the water flow by putting buckets or other containers underneath the leaks to collect the water. To stop additional damage, move any furniture or valuables out of the way. If the leak is serious or you are unable to locate the source, cover the roof's leaky area temporarily with a tarp.

Once the leak has been contained, get in touch with a qualified roofer to evaluate the damage and carry out long-term fixes. Taking immediate action can help avoid long-term problems like the development of mold, structural damage, and future costly repairs. Regular roof inspections can also help you discover problems early and avert future leaks.
